I think what is used depends on the infraction. If it's just something simple, or a warning spank, then the hand. If it happens again, then a hairbrush, wooden spoon, or a spatula. If it still happens then a paddle or crop. If it happens again, then you just rig up ping pong paddles to one of those ...
