Ella Mae Morse

While I was online looking for another version of the song "Shoo Shoo Baby", (see my other post about that song/plane) I came across a singer I had never heard of.

Here's the kicker: She looks a lot like my mom, and there are many similarities with her and my mom besides looks.

Her name is Ella Mae Morse. My mother's name is Beulah Mae, and both were born and raised in rural Texas.

Saddly, she passed away in 1999, but here she is singing the song, "Shoo Shoo Baby" on Youtube back in 1943.

I actually bought some of her albums on iTunes I am so smitten with her and her singing. (And of course she looks like my mom: soooo pretty! )
