Flannelette
Flannelette - Flannelette is a type of fabric
that is created by weaving natural or synthetic
fibers in such a fashion as to create a
flannel-like product. The type of surface
created is a called a, "nap". The term
flannel refers to a fabric made of wool,
and flannelette is used to describe
what most Americans still call flannel.
Flannelette is a generally British term
and is often used only on fabrics made
of 100% cotton. The material is very soft
and is used to make baby clothing,
especially winter pajamas. The cloth is
very warm and is also used for pajamas
pants for adults. Often, flannelette is
woven in a plaid pattern.
