Paruresis - Parueresis is a sort of social a
nxiety disorder know commonly as shy
bladder. A person with paruresis cannot
physically go because of a mental belief
that they cannot. Whether or not a person
is really close to them or the sense that
they are paruresis keeps a person from
being able to pee. In a most severe case
the person with paruresis can only pee
in their own home.
Most people develop this form of anxiety
as teenagers. Some though develop it in
their adult years. This disorder can be
very troublesome for people while in the
workplace or when going for drug testing
for whatever reason.
There are some ways to work around paruresis
but actual treatment can be done in the form
of cognitive and behavior therapy and anti
anxiety medications.
