I got to read a bedtime story to the sweetest little boy tonight. He called me because it was storming and the thunder was shaking the whole house. So what else could I do but climb right in bed with him, snuggle down under those covers and hold him to make him feel better. I was laying there telling him not to be afraid when he asked me to tell him a story. I did too, I told him the story of Hansel and Gretel. Not one of the best stories to tell a frightened little one I concur, but it took his mind off the storm that was going on outside. By the time I was done telling it, the storm had passed and we couldn’t even hear the thunder anymore :). Sometimes the best thing you can do is just hold the little ones until what ever is bothering them passes. So sweetie, let me give you and ‘Teddy’ a big ole kiss night night, and I hope you sleep peaceful.
