Something that is very close to my heart is animal rescue. I take in many pets to foster til they get a brand new home. So this thread is dedicated to animal rescue.

I have tried to look for info, or somewhere to click my mouse, but I just don't "get it" as far as computer tech goes.

Wow thanks guys for supporting something so dear to me. I really love you guys. It makes me happy that we all share the same veiw on this. I feel that we must protect our prescious pets and the wild ones too, just like we stand up for a protect oue Abies and dear dl friends, the wild ones too, lol.

Animal rescue

THE CREED

I am an Animal Rescuer

My job is to assist God's creatures. I was born with the need to fulfill their needs. I take in new family members without plan, thought or selection.

I have bought dog or cat food with my last dime. I have patted a mangy head with a bare hand. I have hugged someone vicious and afraid.

I have fallen in love a thousand times and I have cried into the fur of a lifeless body. I have Animal Friends and friends who have animal friends.I don't often use the word "pet."

I notice those lost at the road side and my heart aches. I will hand raise a field mouse and make friends with a vulture. I know of no creature unworthy of my time.

I want to live forever if there aren't animals in Heaven, but I believe there are. Why would God make something so perfect and leave it behind? We may be master of the animals, but the animals have mastered themselves-- something people still haven't learned.

War and Abuse makes me hurt for the world, but a rescue that makes the news gives me hope for mankind. We are a quiet but determined army, and making a difference every day. There is nothing more necessary than warming an orphan, nothing more rewarding than saving a life; No higher recognition than watching them thrive. There is no greater joy than seeing a baby play who only days ago, was too weak to eat.

I am an Animal Rescuer, My work is never done, My home is never quiet. My wallet is always empty, but my heart is always full In the game of life, we have already won.

It was an epic poem of your love for our four-legged friends, and I thank you for sharing that with us.

You know Josie, I have come to know you and many of the Mommies on this site, and the one thing that always leaves me speechless, is the fact that ALL OF YOU are......

1. VERY SMART, with high IQ's.

2. VERY WELL-READ, with many of you possessing advanced degrees, or currently working on them.

3. VERY CARING, with your loving, nurturing, natures naturaly going beyond caring for adult babies, and extending to Animals, the elderly, and of course, "real babies". (In fact, there is a HIGH percentage of Mommies on this site who either work, or have worked in daycare, nursing homes, and Animal shelters. That say's a lot about you all.

)

4. VERY WELL-INFORMED, with a current, up-to-date understanding of the world around us, and you are all motovated to make postive changes to change the world for the better.

Yes, I am very impressed by you Josie, and all of the Mommies on this site.

After all, were else are you going to find so many Mommies who enjoy reading Tolstoy, saving Animals, and changing Poopy Diapers?

Thank you so much Marty for that beautiful compliment. It means alot to me that so many of you feel the way I do about animal rescue. And as far as us being smart and having degrees and things of that nature...I find the same things that you said about us mommies applies to many of you babies and I just wish the rest of the world would see what we see in you guys.

i adopted freddy, my 1 1/2 puppy from a shelter who got him from puerto rico where they rescued him.
and Mommy becca is right our pets and us babies need protection and love, lots of both.

Thank you Josie .I think more people should be involved in saving our animals. I live on the lake and because there aren't many houses near me we get a lot of dogs and cats dropped off .Thanks to so many uncaring people ,I now have two dogs and three cats living at my house. I agree also its not cheap feeding that many animals and taking them to the vet for check up making sure they get their shot etc.
