what would mommies do to comfort their lil newborn babies if they are scared of thunder? just a curious question

well, first and foremost is cuddling and holding and giving sweet kisses on the top of their head. But also I would make it more of a game - explain that is just the angels in heaven bowling! And then trying to guess what they just bowled - a 7 10 split, a strike, a gutter ball! It takes the scariness out of it and passes the time quickly.

I personally love storms, so I may not be the best protector lol.

If they were a newborn I would talk softly to them or maybe sing and rock them.
I love thunderstorms now, but when I was little...

I used to be terrified of thunderstorms when I was little. I would have loved to have someone hold me, and tell me it was okay.
Now, I love them. I love to watch the flash of lightning, and count to see how far away the storm is.

When my boys were little they loved thunder and lightning and would run up to the windows to look outside and it would scare me so i would make them all get under the covers with me with a flashlight and a book and we would read scary books.

I love storms as well, the smell of them, the breeze that comes right before the cool rain hits the ground, the crackle of the lightening, the deep roll of thunder moving across the sky. It's powerful and amazing.

I'm with Ella - there is something about not only the storm itself, but everything leading up to it. The energy that fills the air fills me as well.

Do we have a lot of babies here that are frightened by storms? I would comfort them any way I could.
