hello my little bathtub floaters I have a little story for you about what happened the other day between me and my little liam. it involves a bathtub and a his romper
we were outside all day that day having a fun time as usual, going to different places because it was a nice week of getting that hot sunshine. so we were going to the beach, playing in the sand. Of course liam would have some salt water and sand on him from being so close to the ocean and getting the salt water on his feetsies, so they were all sandy and wet and we cleaned them off a little at the beach.
coming home on the other hand was another case, we went straight to the bathroom, where I started to draw the water for him so that he could get cleaned up. while I was distracted trying to get the towels ready to dry him off from the cabinet and maybe trying to clean some of the sand that was still on him from the car ride, off the floor.
I heard the sound of pattering feet on the tiles and then the sploosh of filling water sloshing around in the tub and a giggle afterwards, when i tell you i swung my head around so fast to see, he was sitting there. in the tub. with his sandy romper still on aswell as his sandy sandy diaper. i almost wanted to laugh myself.
what a silly baby he was, just getting in like that while mommy was was about to take everything off for him to be able to get in, it was a good thing I had the backpack with all his things in it so i could give him a diaper change there..but also a bad thing because it was a new fresh diaper getting all wet again..but it was bound to happen at some point.
so I went back over to the tub and I grabbed his arm gently, I told him up and he protested and continued to sit for a moment before I said it again a little firmer, He started to stand slowly as the water waterfalled from his now very wet clothes and diaper, now he was a soggy baby that I started to help him unclothe and peel off his heavy wet diaper that had extra absorption which made it extra heavy. it was a good thing i haven't plugged the drain yet so I could ring out his wet romper and diaper so I could throw them in the hamper and trash, once it had gotten full I turned off the tub.
The drain was now plugged and the water started to fill the tub and some particles of sand began to float around the water, I went back over to pour some shampoo over his hair, scrub scrub, then poured some water over his hair, then sone conditioner with an extra little scrub and another pour..then I scrubbed his body with soap afterwards.
once he was done I did a rub scrub before the pour, then I went to grab a towel and started wiping him off.
He was now my sand free baby.
