My guilty pleasure

OK, we all have them, "guilty pleasures": things we indulge in but we know are not "good", or good for us.

For me, it's the TV show called "The Shield" which aired a few years ago, and I have ALL 7 seasons on DVD.

It is violent, intense, gritty, in-your-face action and drama: hence, why I feel guilty for liking it.

Here is a 2 minute clip to give you a taste,

One of the things I love about the shield is the music. Through this TV show I have discovered a lot of music from groups like, Kinto Sol, Alice In Chains, and others that I otherwise would not have been exposed to.

So anyway, "The Shield" is my guilty pleasure.

What's yours?

I have so so so many

If we're talking guilty pleasures concerning TV shows, my answer would definitely have to be "7th Heaven". My mom was buying my Christmas gifts for me one year and I picked Season 3 of "7th Heaven". She asked me why and I said "From what I've seen of it, I enjoyed it." That was the extent of her questions as to why I liked it.

I originally bought it because that's the season that Annie and Eric's twins were born and I thought I might see some scenes with Mary or Lucy caring for their brothers, but, as I watched through it, I realized that it's actually quite a good show. I ended up getting Seasons 4 and 5 later on [and I plan to get the rest someday as well].

But, when I was younger, if people who didn't really understand me were visiting, I'd hide that DVD from my collection. Though now that I no longer have said people in my life, I'm proud to say it's on my shelf along with all of my other DVDs.

Wow Veronika, your list looks almost identical to mine, LOL. Love the macabre, the fantasy and unusual genres as well.
