Sad, so very sad.

Jean Stapleton who was featured in many, many diaper commercials for Ivory Snow laundry/diaper detergent in the 1950s has passed away.

She was 90 years old.

Jean Stapleton was a very versatile actress. What ever role she played, she played to the best. Everyone knew her as "Edith" in All in the Family, but there were so many roles she played way before that. You would hardly recognize her if you didn't take a close look and listen.

RIP, Jean. You are missed.
