I have a secret. When I come home from work feeling very tired I like to click on this forum. The little pink bottles light up my evening. I know I will get to read your thoughts.

But lately...no pink bottles..

Where are you guys?

Auhhhh yes...... the missing pink bottles......

I am afraid that I am one of the guilty ones on that score.

I have not posted like I used to due to many hours of overtime at work.

However, I have a few thoughts on this subject.

I think this fourm is like the Ocean.....

..... it has an "ebb and flow".....

..... with rising tides........ receding tides....

stormy, choppy water....... and clear, calm water.

And..... this is NOT unique to Phone-A-Mommy.

I hang out at another web site called "Talk Classical" (dot com) and it's a site where boring, high-brow, cultured nerds like myself get together and talk about Classical Music and Opera. At any given time, there will be maybe 150 people on the site, "lurking" (reading) the many posts and articles, but not posting anything themselves. Out of 150 people activly using the site, only around 5 to 10 of us will actually "de-lurk" and post comments.

So...... don't let the lack of pink bottles get you down, just wait, and the "Tide" will rise again.

Star....

It is a GREAT site, but only for those who really LOVE Classical Music and Opera.

And yes, it was a HUGE loss when Beverly Sills died.

I have a LOT of her recordings, including a special box set of Donizetti's Operas, "The Three Queens": Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda, Roberto Devereux.

There are 7 CD's in this set, and they are all re-mastered, and it's the first time that they have ever been released on CD.

By the way, if you like books and opera....
