A babies birthday

A Babies Birthday by Mikey
I woke up after my afternoon nap with sound of my mommies voice. "Hi sweetie, how are you?" Mommy reaches in and picks me up. She carries me to my changing table and removes my sleeper. She quickly changes my diaper and tells me today is a special day. I dont remember her using those word before. Mommy reaches in my dresser and pulls out a new onsie and some cute shorts. Mommy slides my onsie on and she disappears. Funny how she seems to go bye byes when she puts my clothes on. When she comes back I hear her say "Boo!" I giggle because mommy is silly. After im all dressed mommy picks me up and we head into the kitchen. Mommy sets me on the floor and starts getting my bottle ready. Im excited so I raise my hands grabing at the air. Mommy laughs and flies the bottle around me like an airplane. "zooooooom zoooom.. baby bottle go zoooom zooooom" She flies it right into my nose. I giggle and open my mouth. Mommy lifts me up with lots of excitement and takes me to the rocker and feeds me my baba. This is one of my favorite parts of the day, on mommys lap with a baba. Mommy pats my bottom and smiles at me the whole time. I cuddle. Mommy then looks at me and says "Do you know what today is baby?" I smile.. "Its your birthday! Your 2 years old today!" She coos. I laugh. Mommy carries me into the dinning room and there are lots of people there. I cant tell how many because i cant count yet. They are all smiling tho. Then they say "happy birthday!" I smile. Still not sure what to think of all of this. I hug mommy tighter. Mommy looks down and smiles at me, reassuring me that everything is ok. I feel much better now that i see mommy smiling. Mommy sets me in a highchair at the front of the table. She buckles me in and puts the tray on. I look up at her as she is walking away. I cry. "mama,maaaaammaaaa" I dont see her anymore and im getting scared with all these people. Mommy comes back with a flat square with 2 lights on it. She sets it on my tray and I smile. Mommy is back. I look at the lights and reach for them. Mommy takes my hands and says "blow kisses baby". Im not sure what that means but i see mommy blow and she points at the lights. I look at her and smile. I try to blow kisses at the lights and mommy helps. They go out. Im curious. "uh oh" i coo. Mommy smiles and pushes my nose. Mommy coos "look at babys cake.....baby want to pway wif it?" I smile and look at the square. I reach out and touch it. Its kinda squishy so i pull my hand back. Mommy watches with a something in her hand that has a little red light on it and a funny glass front. Mommy takes my hand and squishes it all the way in the cake. Then she laughs as she does it. I think i get it now. Its like my bath.. i splash the bubbles! So i splash the cake. Little pieces fly everywhere. Mommy wipes some icing on my lips. I lick them..yummy. I rub my hands over my face and now I look like an icing monster. Mommy and the other people laugh. I giggle. Mommy takes the cake and cuts it up and gives it to the other people. When they are done we sit on the floor in the living room and I get all kinds of colored boxes. Each box has a new item. Mommy opens most of them, as im getting sleepy. I sit on the floor watching her remove the color from the boxes and magically pull out items. Mommys are soo cool. Mommy comes to me with her arms behind her back. "baby...mommy has a special surprise for you. are you ready..." she smiles. I smile and raise my arms. Out from the side of her back comes a little white bear with a big smile. "this is teddy baby! say hi teddy". i listen and say "todie". Mommy smiles and rubs teddy against my face. It feels so good, so soft. Mommy places teddy in my arms and helps me squeeze him. He feels even better now. While im hugging teddy mommy slides two fingers in the front of my diaper and leans over and whispers "someone made pee pees". She picks me up and points to the clock. "its someones bedtime" I rub my eyes and she carries me into my room. She removes my clothes and untapes my diaper. "uh oh someone has another surprise for mommy" She quickly wipes me clean and puts on a fresh diaper. Mommy then grabs my sleeper and slides it over my arms one at a time, then my legs, and one final zip and im all snug. Mommy puts teddy in my crib. She picks me up and leans me against her chest and rocks me as she walks around the room and down the hall. Mommy hums to me and pats my bottom as i watch behind us. Mommy pulls me away from her chest for just a second and slides my paci in my mouth. "shhhhh go sweepies baby" she coos. She returns me to her chest and rubs my back and pats my diaper and lightly bounces me. Its not long and im asleep. I breifly feel mommy put me in my crib, place teddy in my arms and cover me in my blankie. The last thing i hear is "good night sweetie, mommy loves you". Then all goes calm.
