I just love this picture – I found it at an estate sale many years ago. Am pretty sure – on sentimentality and kitsch factors – that this parlor picture dates back to 1890-1900. At that point in Art History, museums and salons were filled with very large pictures of beautiful, doomed, drowned women washed up on the shore. I dig this different take on things. It reminds me of the old joke where the lifeguard sees a little boy caught in the undertow. The lifeguard quickly swims out, snags the boy, and returns him to his mother…who says, “Where’s his hat?” Well, this St. Bernard is GOOD. He remembered to fetch the hat AND the girl. I just got off the phone with “E”, he seemed like a really nice guy. He didn’t have a whole lot to say as he just wanted to hear my story. And what could be better than hearing all about me? *giggles* JK, I think he just needed to hear that someone else out there had similar experiences with getting started in diapers. Who doesn’t need a little reassurance from time to time. And I am more than happy to share my story with others. See even if you are not into role play, sometimes it is just good to have someone to talk to. Little Janey wanna chat?
