Forgotten Language

Post by momlorraine »

Once I spoke the language of the flowers,
Once I understood each word the caterpillar said,
Once I smiled in secret at the gossip of the starlings,
And shared a conversation with the housefly
in my bed.
Once I heard and answered all the questions
of the crickets,
And joined the crying of each falling dying
flake of snow,
Once I spoke the language of the flowers. . . .
How did it go?
How did it go?

Gosh, that is so beautiful momlorraine. You can still speak the language of the flowers, and everything else if you wish. I do it when I go out on "spirit quests". Once you open up to your surroundings, your surroundings speak to you in a way only you can understand. It's different for everyone.

Thank you for that post. I always wanted to put it in so many words. You did it for me :D

Wow! I adore that poem! It beautifully reminds us what we loose when we grow up and forget our inner child. Kudos Lorraine!
