Question on adult cloth diapers

Post by naughtyboyutah »

Hi there, I have for the longest time just have worn adult disposable diapers like Attends and Bambinos and really enjoy them. I am wondering if anyone would give me their recommendations on what adult cloth diapers they would recommend or what websites I should check out. I think it would be good for me to get a couple and give them a try so I can figure out which one I like better myself. Any advice would be helpful to me.

It's nice to see a baby with an interest in cloth diapers! :D

I love cloth diapers and rubber baby pants! :D

OK, a couple of places that come to mind are....

Adult Cloth Diaper (.com) They have a great selection, and really fast service! Best of all, they carry my favorite kind of cloth diaper: Birdseye! :D

Angel Fluff Diaper Company (.com) Angel Fluff is a good diaper company, but they don't carry Birdseye cloth diapers.

And both companies have a HUGE selection of rubber/plastic baby panties. :D

Oh, and you can always go to Deeker's web site, and look up his links section, because he has about 20 cloth diaper companies listed.

Hope this helps. 8)

wow, this is good for me too. I don't know much about cloth diapers and I've been giving some thought to trying them out. Looks like I may be giving birdseye a try then since i trust Scarlet and Martys recommendations. :)

Thanks for your interest in cloth diapers Mommy Josie! :D

Yes, Birdseye cloth, is the best fabric for making cloth diapers. The thing about Birdseye, is that it's strong, very durable and absorbant, and the more you wash it, the softer it gets.

In fact, flannel is the reverse. With a flannel diaper, it's soft from the get go, but with each washing, it gets less soft, and starts to fray, or "ball-up", which interfers with the comfort of wearing them.

Birdseye on the other hand, has to be washed over and over again, to start getting really soft. And after a 100 or so washings, a Birdseye cloth diaper will be as soft as a baby's bottom.

Hi Baby Marty,

I like AdultClothDiaper . com too for my cloth diapers. I prefer the Gauze diapers though. the first ones I ordered from them were the flat cloth diapers. I tried every way I could find for folding them but never had much luck getting a good fit. So, I mostly just wore them during the day when I was awake. I was afraid to try them at night because I thought they would probably leak pretty bad. I have a brand new crib inmy nursery and I don't want to destroy the mattress. I do have a vynal mattress cover on order.

Anyway, finally, I ordered one of their prefold diapers and I liked it. I seem to be able to get a tighter more snug fit and along with plastic pants of course, I gave it a try overnight. I was really surprised at how much it did hold. So now I have ordered 2 dozen more.

the initial investment was pretty much. But over time, I will save a lot over disposables. I still like the disposables for when I am travelling on business or on vacation. So, I plan to keep a supply of them around too.
