What kind of stories do you most like to read?

Here is a place for the mommies to talk and babies to listen in. We say mommies, but sitters, aunts, nannies and grannies also.

So many different kinds, Nursery Rhymes,Classic Stories,Mommy written stories, ABie written stories.Fairy Tales, what type do you find you read most to the babies? For me it is a mix of classic stories and Mommy stories.Sometimes I just take a fairy tale or story and personalize it to the abie I am reading it to. I was just curious about everyone else.

I look for stories on the internet then print them out if I find them cute and keep them by my phone in a binder incase anyone wants to hear a good story. I do not make them up, because to be honest, I really stink when it comes to making up stories on the fly.

That is a good idea, I think I might do the same thing. I did a call once and was asked to make up a story and I ended up with talking about a baby girl bunny with some self esteem issues and a tree rat that was shy lol. See why I need to print out some stories too? lol.

adventures, pretty princess, personalized stories and songs... they're all wonderful when shared with a sweet baby cuddled near, and holding your every word with wide eyed wonder.

I am all about the nursery rhymes. I just love them and i like to add my own lil twist sometimes. i am always singing goofy lil songs around the house to and I always change the words. my dogs look at me like I'm crazy because I sing to them.
