You can run your mouse over the other pics to get a better view from all angles and see this old Highchair in all it's glory. They started making this chair in 1957, and then when I was born in 1959, my mom bought one for me and used it for all 4 of us kids, including my baby sister who was born in the mid 1970s.
I know Mommy Josie loves vintage baby stuff, so I posted this with her in mind.
When you see this highchair, just picture a fat, chubby infant (me) sitting in that chair in 1959, wearing cloth diapers, plastic baby pants, blue diaper pins, and a yellow baby bib, being fed baby food by his Mother who is smiling a motherly smile.
What you can't "see" when you picture that scene is the pungent aroma of poop wafting up from the seat of my pants, which is why my Mother is smiling a motherly smile.
Oh wow Marty, that is soo cool! Ya know, a friend of mine had one just like it - it was handed down to her from her mom, and from her moms mom. Thanks so much for sharing it!
OMG Marty, I remember those! My grandparents had one almost exactly like that in their kitchen that my dad, his sisters and my sister and I all used. That was an awesome price, I am sorry to see you didn't get it. I am sure if you keep searching you will be able to find another eventually.
Wow looking at that thing+ really puts me in the mood to put on a shirt dress, girdle and garters, heehee.

I love to find vintage stuff, always a surprise
when I am thrift store tripping I found a silver potty chair with
a lot of filigree it was beautiful and very pricey.
How did I not see this post sooner? lol I LOVE that chair! I remember my grandmother having one as well. All seven of her kids used it, as did I and all my cousins. Such great memories! They sure don't make them like they used to
I had one like that too, except it was white. I can still remember being put in my high chair for breakfast. It's strange how some really old memories live on!
