Traditions

What are some of your Holiday traditions? Do you celebrate on certain days? The Christmas tree goes up on a certain day? DO you have a similar family meal each year?

The only tradition I can think of in my family is that my mom and I each get to open one gift on Christmas Eve. :)

I have one little tradition for my holidays. I like to celebrate them one at a time! The way the stores mash them together...Halloween candy on sale in September...Christmas decorations out in October, drives me batty :x ! I don't start any holiday until the each one is over! But my own favorite little holiday tradition is that the Christmas season does not begin until I see Santa Claus at the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade!

Good traditions guys, thanks for responding. One we do is all of the non sentimental newish ornaments go on the tree first. Then those my of sentimental value go on last, and they are put up by who they belong to. I still do Black Eyed peas for good luck on new year's. Everyone seems to think this one is crazy.

Hi Scarlet

I really do not have too many traditions for christmas. I do have a cook out every New Years regardless of weather. Small group, but close.

As far as your Black Eyed Peas tradition I do not think it is wierd. They have some good songs, and if you want to do them on New Years for Luck, all i can say is you are one dedicated fan and they are one lucky band. Giggle.
