Since I've got this great new nursery (check out our Blog), I want to know which type of diapers are your favorites.
I've stocked a little of this and a little of that, but I REALLY want to know the hands down favorite diaper choice is and what make them so special to you.
Kisses and Hugs,
Mommy Sue
Come to the window,
My baby, with me,
And look at the stars
That shine on the sea!
Having a good supply of nice thick cloth diapers would be great! Along with several styles of plastic pants and panties, to fit different moods and aby's.
For those that prefer disposables, you can't go wrong with bambinos from what I hear, but if I was going to be babied in disposables something less absorbent and thick might be better as changes would need to be more frequent! yaaaay!
I really like Bambinos - wear one to bed most nights. Otherwise it's the Abena X-Plus. But for style and reliability and memories - it's Bambinos hands down for me.

and I hate to think of all the fun I would have missed if I actually had stopped wetting the bed - like hanging out at fun sites like this one!
My very favorite is Tranquility ATN. They simply hold EVERYthing.
For thickness, nothing beats the Abena X-Plus. However, I have found that sometimes their tapes just suck.
Now, you also need something cheap and thinner. Why do I say so? Well, imagine you are wanting to diaper up, but you know in a few hours you are gonna have to go out somewhere and wearing a diaper then would be inappropriate. OR, say you want to do a quick thing like maybe a poop in the diaper or something, and change quickly after. Well, you wouldn't want a thick diaper that lasts 8-12 hours then! You're wasting a majority of hours that diaper would still work. So then you want something not as long-lasting. I propose Kendall Wings. I found a type that actually is all white and has just one wide tape on each side, so it is more like a real baby diaper. I use those.
My favorite diapers are PAMPERS size 7,because I can still fit into them comfortably, but also cloth ones with nursery printed plastic panties,or BAMBINOS.Those are all my favorites, because I find them all very comfortable, and babyish all for certain reasons, and memories, some produced by myself, and some while growing up!!!

Hewwo Mommy Sue,
On a day to day basis, I wear cloth diapers and plastic pants every night primarily for the cost savings. However, when I am travelling on vacation or away on business, I prefer disposables since they are more convenient.
I really like Abena X-Plus or I like to get the plain white Bambinos. Then I buy rolls of colorful cartoon tape with baby designs on them and customize the front of the diapers to make them more babyish.
I love the bambino diapers, they are my favorites. I do like the AB cushies too but to me I like the two tapes on each side of the Bambino diapers better and I feel Bambino diapers are a bit thicker which I love.
Thick cloth diapers and plastic "rubber" baby pants.
Actually, there are two kinds of cloth diapers that I really love.
1. "Birdseye" pre-fold cloth diapers with a thick soaker sewed into the middle of the diaper. Some people call these Gerber diapers, but other companies made them also.
2. Curity brand flat-fold cloth diapers with the familuar "pinked" (zig-zag) edges.
When I was little, these were the diapers most moms used.
I am a disposable guy, I do use cloth a lot around the house. I think the Bambinos are the best. I have been trying the Cushies the last week and I am having trouble with the tape tabs staying hooked. I have tried the store brands it seems I have had to clean up mess each time. I will be using cloth more this summer around the house and disposables when I leave the house. I am more interesed in how good they work, and feel, over look.
like everything else it is a matter of personal preference. as long as you are happy with what you have enjoy yourselves. and as larbear put it..keep them dry and tight.
Wow! Interesting read, getting real feedback on the subject. I guess it really does depend on what it is going to be used for. Everything from how much it can hold/ leakage factor, to fit to feel to how baby-ish it is. I know I have one little one that swears by the Cushies because of how much they remind him of the Pampers of yester years. But I think the most popular is bambinos.
Yes, that's right, 100 % organic Bamboo mixed with 100 % organic cotton are what "Shoo-Foo" cloth diapers are made of.
I just found this diaper on the internet and they look so cute and fluffy on baby bottoms. And the name is soooo cool too: "Shoo-Foo". It sounds like something my mommy says when she smells a poopy diaper.
