Scared

I was just sitting here watching some videos of one of my favorite things. I really like paranormal type things. Nothing could be better than to get a little scared and cuddle up with someone. So why don’t you come over and we can watch some scary movies together? I will hold you close and keep you safe from all the monsters and ghosts while you hide your face in my chest and peek out through your fingers at the scary parts.

At Phone A Mommy, some of our most adorable calls happen when our babies get scared and need comforting. There is something incredibly sweet about a grown person who feels safe enough with their Mommy to admit that they are frightened and ask to be held. Whether it is a scary movie, a thunderstorm, or a bad dream that woke you up in the middle of the night, Mommy is always here to chase away the monsters and make everything okay again.

Imagine calling Mommy late at night because you had a nightmare. She answers in her soft sleepy voice and immediately starts soothing you. She tells you that the monsters are not real, that Mommy is right here, and that nothing bad can ever happen to you as long as she is around. She sings you a lullaby, checks under your bed for you, and stays on the phone until you drift back to sleep feeling completely safe and protected. That is the kind of comfort only a real Mommy can provide.
